I was looking for a soft, light bedspread for our guest bedroom. I wanted the neutral colors and did not like the "old-fashioned flowers-look." It turned out to be perfect in every way. It fits my full size bed perfectly and blends well with my colors. The pillow shams complete the updated look of this sunny bedroom. This book is great. The directions are easy to follow and the projects are small and fun to do.

This is an advertisement without the specifics that machine embroiders need. What are the most popular formats; SEW JEF ART ? What is the size of the stitch field required for the designs; 4X4, 6X8, 5X7, 8X8 or other? I have used these techniques with great success from other sources but I would not purchase this without knowing these answers in advance. I have wasted money in the past on designs that were too big for my machine and all the books with design CDs are not returnable.

This is what quilting/embroidery books should all be about! Great projects, designs and instructions included. This book is a must have for those with embroidery machines!

I began to use these designs the minute I got the book! It is very easy to follow, and the designs are superb!

I did not know that this book would be almost all quilting project, but it is very good, and great photos

The book is full of lovely designs that are art deco in feel. But, despite the author's assertion to the contrary, most of them do not easily lend themselves to machine stitching. It would require a great deal of sewing back over lines already sewn in order to do these on a machine. The designs would be easier to do by hand -- I don't know anything about sashiko and so can't comment on that. Also some of the shapes do not readily fit into a square, so they would not work well on a quilt. So I will enjoy the designs on the printed page, but am unlikely to use them in fabric.

I have found this book not only full of easy to understand techniques but it also contains some wonderful patterns. Don Linn definately knows what he's talking about. I have already preordered his next book which is due on March, Design Art Deco Quilts, and am anxious to get it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of machine quilting.

This book was a bit of a disappointment. There is some instruction for doing beadwork, but the print is in a very small font--making it difficult to read. The only color pictures are on the front and back covers--using both sides of the cover. All charts are in black and white. The markings in the charts are rather light, making them difficult to see. The patterns are for loom or square stitch and applique only. The book does not do justice to the rich heritage of Native American art and the great diversity in their use of beadwork.

I have been beading on garments and needed more patterns. This book had several actual beading patterns as well as many applique patterns. It was a nice companion book to my native american beading pattern library.

This book has a lot of information for the traditional beader. Hope to use it took make regalia. The transaction was easy and the shipper was very fast.

Very nice. Displays full size patterns for beading. It had designs that I wasn't familiar with. Good Find for beginner to immediate beaders.

This book is loaded with patterns. They are laid out very well and easy to follow. It is not a technique book. One improvement would be that small pictures of the finished products would have helped with choosing patterns.
