I purchased the hoops about a month ago, and am wondering how I survived so long with out all of the sizes! A 5x7 hoop is what came with my machine and I always just made do with it. Now that I have had the 2x2, 4x4 and 5x12, I am amazed at how much easier my sewing projects have become! (Onsie's are so much easier with the 4x4!) The hoops are great! I can tell absolutely no difference between these hoops and the Babylock hoop that came with my Babylock embroidery machine. ( I have the Emore) The scissors and the thread were just bonus for me although I have to say I love the scissors because they have such a sharp point. I use them a lot for applique designs in those hard to reach area's.A nice selection of colors of thread were sent too and as far as I can tell so far, the quality is good. Over all I am super pleased with my purchase, the price was great and the hoops are awesome!

I recently purchased the Elipse 4-hoop package after purchasing the Brother PE700ii. I was hesitant, but found another website in which two people gave favorable reviews. So I took the plunge. I am very happy and satisfied with these hoops. The 5x7 hoop is fully identical to the original Brother hoop that came with the machine; in fact, it's my opinion that the Elipse hoops are a bit sturdier. The included thread is a great bonus; it's Polystar polyester thread, which is 50 wt., the size specific to my Brother machine. The included stork scissors are ok. I use Gingher embroidery scissors, and these stork scissors seem kind of cheap. But they're included and some may find them useful. I don't think you can go wrong as the price can't be beat!

So far I am having a blast with my new machine. It came well packaged with all the extras in a fast timley manner. The possiblities are endless with this machine. I was able to take it from the box and get started. I am a begginer with embroidery. To fully appreciate the possabilites I am enrolled in a class in my area. I am very happy. Great seller A + Thank You.

I say overall because Brother needs to work on their instructions. It would help first time users if they made a DVD to explain certain functions. This is my second Brother, the first is a sewing machine,so I knew my way around a little. I am very pleased with the machines themselves. I love the designs and have had no trouble with the on board features. That part was easy. But the 15,109 Embroidery Designs that came as a gift is another story! I can get them to download on my USB card but not to the machine!!! Of course the instructions are very limited to beginners on computers. They assume you know what to do when your computer doesn't recognize the file names and how to change them. I need to find a help forum to guide me a little more.

I love this machine, user friendly and does a beautiful job. Like watching someone else do the work while you relax. I would recommend this machine to anyone.

The book was in excellent condition as stated by owner. THe book itself is a wonderful reference and teaching guide. The book was received in a timely manner. I highly recommend this book for new machine embroidery students.

Be sure you notice that this book is a 2001 book. It is very dated (floppies instead of USB cables). Skip it--don't waste your money. Perhaps the author could issue another version...

Absolutely a must for anyone who wants a reference book or is just starting out, it will become well used. Lots of ideas plus some new embroidery patterns. I highly recommend it.

I am a beginner to embroidery, but not to sewing. I recently purchased the Singer Futura 250 (awesome) and bought this as a companion book after reading great reviews. It wasn't what I expected. It looked like it was from the 80s/90s, didn't feel up to date. The "free embroidery designs" looked a bit cheesy/cheap feel. I was actually able to figure out my embroidery machine on my own with the product manual and can search the internet (for free) for any future questions I have. While some people might like the book, it wasn't for me and was a waste of my money. I returned it.

Great for beginners in machine embroidery. Has all the basic info to get started and some great project ideas as well. Good reference guide for use of stabilizers. It's worth it!

This book is great. The directions are easy to follow and the projects are small and fun to do.

This is an advertisement without the specifics that machine embroiders need. What are the most popular formats; SEW JEF ART ? What is the size of the stitch field required for the designs; 4X4, 6X8, 5X7, 8X8 or other? I have used these techniques with great success from other sources but I would not purchase this without knowing these answers in advance. I have wasted money in the past on designs that were too big for my machine and all the books with design CDs are not returnable.

This is what quilting/embroidery books should all be about! Great projects, designs and instructions included. This book is a must have for those with embroidery machines!

I began to use these designs the minute I got the book! It is very easy to follow, and the designs are superb!

I did not know that this book would be almost all quilting project, but it is very good, and great photos
